Online payments terms & conditions
First Corporate Finance Limited offers an online payment facility to pay the administration fee to register as a prospective client.
Please read these terms carefully before making a payment using the online payment facility. Using the online payment facility indicates that you accept these Terms which form a legally binding contract between us. If you do not accept these Terms, then you should not use the online payment facility.
1. Definitions
1.1 In these Terms, the following words and phrases have the meanings indicated below:

2. Payment
2.1 Any payment made using the online payment facility normally takes a minimum of two (2) working days to reach our account.
2.2 Payments made using the online payment facility can only be accepted with authorisation from the cardholder. By making a payment using the online payment facility, you confirm that:
2.2.1 you are either the cardholder or you are authorised to use the card for the payment you are making; and
2.2.2 in making the payment the payer is not breaching any third party rights and is not acting fraudulently or in breach of any laws or regulations.
2.3 Payments can be made using the following cards: Visa Credit, Visa Debit, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit, MasterCard One Card, Amex.
2.4 All payments are to be made in GBP – UK pound Sterling.
3. Service Provider
3.1 Online payment of your fee can be made by credit or debit card. These payments are not collected by us directly but by the Service Provider. On payment an e mail will be sent to you acknowledging payment and next steps.
3.2 Once payment is received by the Service Provider in cleared funds, the Service Provider will contact us to confirm the details of the successful payment made by you. On receipt of this confirmation we will activate your account with us and contact you to execute the next steps in our registration service.
3.3 If the card supplier declines payment we are under no obligation to bring this to your attention. You should check with your credit/debit card supplier that the card payment has been made successfully.
4. Security
4.1 Your payment card details are handled exclusively by the Service Provider and are not stored within our system.
4.2 All payment details which are entered through the online payment facility are encrypted when they are entered. Communications to and from the Service Provider’s site are encrypted.
4.3 In this clause the term “personal data” is as defined in the relevant data protection legislation.
4.3.1 We will collect personal data relating to the Contractee, or person making payment, including name, address, telephone number and email address in accordance with our data protection policy. A copy of our privacy policy is available at here.
4.3.2 By agreeing to be bound by these Terms the Contractee, (and any person making payment), accepts and consents to their personal data being provided to the Service Provider for the sole purpose of the Service Provider offering and administering the online payment facility to the Contractee, or person making payment.
5. Restriction on Use of the Online Payment System
The online payment facility can be used in respect of registration payments only.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 It is your responsibility to ensure that registration payments are made by any specified due date for payment and that the correct information is entered by you when using the online payment facility.
6.2 We shall not be liable in any way whatsoever for:
6.2.1 us not receiving payment or being unable to allocate your payment as a result of you entering incorrect personal details or any other omission by you to provide accurate information in the course of the online payment process; or
6.2.2 for any failure by the person making payment to properly protect data being seen on their screen or otherwise obtained by such persons during the online payment process; or
6.2.3 your payment being declined or in any way refused by your credit/debit card provider for any reason; or
6.2.4 the use, inability to use, or the results of use of this site, any websites linked to this site, or the materials or information contained at any or all such sites, whether such liability would arise under warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory and whether or not advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
7.1 once email acknowledgement of your payment is sent you have no right to cancel the registration and to receive a refund of your registration payment.
7.2 Where you believe that you have erroneously made a payment or overpaid any amount due, please contact us immediately on the details below. Our team will investigate the matter and, if appropriate, arrange for the erroneous or overpayment to be refunded. Any such overpayment must be refunded to the card that was originally used to make the overpayment, and any such refunds are entirely at the discretion of our management.
7.3 In order that any refund queries can be dealt with as efficiently as possible, please have the following information to hand when you contact us:
7.3.1 the full name of the person who made the original payment;
7.3.2 the details of the card used to make the original payment;
7.3.3 the amount you are seeking to be refunded;
7.3.4 the (approximate) date and time of the original payment; and
7.3.5 your relevant E mailed reference number.
8. Changes to Terms
These Terms are in addition to other relevant terms and conditions. We may change these Terms from time to time. Any changes to the Terms will apply to any subsequent online payment transactions with us through this page. You should print a copy of these Terms or save them to your computer for future reference. Every time you wish to make an online premium payment, please check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms and conditions which apply at that time.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
9.1 The formation, existence, construction, performance, validity and all aspects of these Terms shall be governed by the law of England and Wales.
9.2 The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these Terms. The parties irrevocably agree to submit to that jurisdiction.
