Zeeshan Malik saw this contradiction often. High-stakes environments were eager to embrace Industry 4.0, yet hesitant to act. Cybersecurity wasn’t integrated; it was bolted on, delayed, or dismissed. With a background in chemical engineering and over 20 years in industrial automation, Zeeshan recognized the issue wasn’t just technical. It was about trust. Clients wanted real-time visibility and connected systems, but needed confidence that digitalization wouldn’t compromise safety or stability.
In response, Zeeshan began designing tools that made transformation safe, scalable, and grounded in real-world industrial needs. PhiDES, a lightweight industrial data stack, and PhiLIMS, a configurable lab information system, were built to meet the realities of industrial environments. These products were shaped by field experience to address data silos, insecure systems, and the widening gap between OT and modern digital tools.
PhiTech Solutions wasn’t built in a lab. It was shaped in refineries, factories, and control rooms, where failure is costly, and improvement is essential.
Challenges
At PhiTech Solutions Ltd., we had built solutions that worked. But to make a global impact, we needed to scale them. It was time to evolve from engineering to enterprise. In 2022, we embraced this challenge, setting out to transform proven tools into licensable products fit for international markets.
Central to this shift was PhiLINK, our patent-pending, connectionless data transfer system. Designed for secure, real-time communication without persistent connectivity, it redefines how industrial environments stay protected and connected. Equally important was our successful commercial roll out of PhiDES, a real-time field data entry system, and PhiLIMS, an intelligent laboratory information management system.

What ultimately shifted the momentum was the support of a few trusted industry channel partners, organizations like Optiment, RICI and Cyberly Smart, who believed in our solutions and introduced them to new customers and sectors. These early alliances helped us expand our footprint, validate our products in new environments, and accelerate commercial traction across borders.
